“Selected Works” by Gloria Bernstein

Artist Gloria Bernstein’s new exhibition "Selected Works" opens with a public reception on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 2-4 pm. Thereafter, her show is open on Saturdays and Sundays, 1-4 pm, through Oct. 28.

Gloria, who holds a Master of Fine Arts from the State University in New Paltz, has her studio in Woodridge, NY. She has been working on a group of new paintings, some of which will be on exhibit here.

She has had many group and one-woman shows both locally, and in New York City galleries, and received awards from the National Association of Woman Artists, Inc. Her most recent show was “Holocaust Remembrance; The People” in 2008, and she held a retrospective show of her work, “Landscapes& Others,” in 1999, plus shows in New York City galleries in 2002-2004.

A lifetime of painting has resulted in works of different styles and media from abstract to surreal, dream-like to stark realism. She hopes others will view her works and relate to them in a deeply personal and profound way.

Gloria’s work can be viewed on her website: www.gbernstein.com.
