Annual Stream Cleanup Update

On Saturday, May 19, 2012 The Neversink Watershed Chapter of Trout Unlimited joined forces with The Old Stone House of Hasbrouck, NY for a stream cleanup of the Neversink River across the road from the house. On hand were local Chapter members and community volunteers. The “crew” from Trout Unlimited donned full fly fishing attire and proceeded to the river removing large amounts of debris, much the remnants of Hurricane Irene. Old Stone House members and community volunteers cleaned up around the house and playground.

Following the cleanup a picnic lunch was enjoyed and a free Fly-Casting Clinic was conducted by an several expert trout fly-fisherman. The stream cleanup and Fly-Casting Clinic is scheduled to take place again next year. Watch "LESSONS FROM THE RIVER" - filmed and edited by OSH Member LaVerne Black.
